112 2154 312, Pink (org. Willow Green)
Lauren Bailey, Gainesville, FL

I wanted to add my baby to your registry....
her name is 'Goober'.
She was my first car, I bought her in September of 1997. The only modification
I have made to her so far is converting her over to an alternator.
She used to be an automatic stick shift, but somewhere along the way
someone put in a manual transmission and a 1300cc single port engine.
She was born October the 6th 1971 and moved to the USA on October 18 1971.
Her original color was Willow Green, but has since been painted pink and black...
she is awaiting restoration along with her 5 brothers and sisters
that she lives here with. You can see them all at www.vwfamily.cjb.net

My car is currently under
restoration. I acquired it from
the original owner last year for the sum of $350.00.
It has the original engine which has very good compression.
I plan on leaving her mostly stock but adding a Hurst shifter
and maybe a BugPack cam and a couple of other things.

152 2248 412, Gentian Blue, Silver Grey top , Leatherette Alabaster
Kim Estler, Rochester, NY

I have just recently acquired
'Annabelle'. She is going to need
some restoration, which I will be having done this fall and winter.
I obtained her 'birth certificate' from the Stiftung Auto Museum,
so here is what I know: Options: M128: white wall tires, built on:
December 7, 1971; left factory on: December 14, 1971, destination:
USA. It appears the engine was replaced somewhere along the line,
with a model from 1974. Engine number (original): AE 706 594,
47 bhp, 1.6 liter. Engine number (current): AH 371 444,
?? bhp, 1.6 liter.
