This 1302 is owned by Walter Schäfer from Gauting near Munich in Germany.
It is one of the most successful Käfer Cup cars ever.
Walter was Käfer Cup Champion in the years 1989 (the first year of
Käfer Cup Racing), 1991 and '92 and runner-up in 1990 and '93.
He finished his career in '94. The picture is taken at Salzburgring in Austria in
August 1989, where the very first Käfer-Cup Circuit-Race started
(the Käfer-Cup is a combination of circuit-races, hillclimb-races and slaloms).
