The
motor is basically stock - the only thing you CAN'T 'see' is
the 10.5 lbs. flywheel. 009 distributor, Blue coil, heavy duty oil pump,
J-pipes and a header and a 'rejet' job on the carburetor. Heads are
stock with a 3 angle valve job and no shims for an 8.1 compression ratio.
Simple and reliable - so I can spend more time working on the bar-b-q
than the race car!
My fellow members of Prancing Basset Vintage Auto Racing
and I will be finishing the car the 12th of August.
We are color sanding and rubbing the car out - then
installing the glass, door handles, trim, mirrors and
whatever else I find that belongs on the outside.
